colchester v southend

i havn't seen a pitch this bad in a very long time. i thought colchester had moved out of layer road and into a nice new ground with undersoil heating?

stick it on skysports one to find out for yourself. my local team who play at the 9th level of english football play on a better surface than that bog!!

yep that is one shocker of a pitch, at least it gives them a good excuse for the quality of the football!!

I expect even Deal Town in the Kent Premier League play on a better pitch Matt....and still serve up a better game of football than the long ball dross that was on show tonight!

looks like the good old Baseball ground......memories.

yeah and that was on a good day...they had the pitch like that purposely so the pace of the ball was slowed down for the old horse shilts!!

we played on a beach oce lol ah the old baseball ground i remember Chelsea winning 6-4 there with good old Kerry Dixon

yeah i remember a few freak results their, was never sure if it was due to the state of the pitch or shilts! and did derby ever get a blue flag award for that pitch? it was better than many of the countries beaches
