Big move early on by City. David Silva's heir has arrived. Jesus, Sane, Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne, Aguero, David Silva ..... Raheem Sterling might not even make the bench!

Still need to sort their defence out, 2 full backs already left.

What an attack though.

Got to be honest, didn't see that one coming, don't think it is a position that is a priority for City? I may be wrong, unless they are viewing it as a longer term Silva replacement?

I think with the philosophy that city use it's a good transfer. David Silva is 31 and can't play 50 games a season. 43 million is a hefty sum for a rotation player. I agree with Tom that city have lost atleast 2 fullback and a keeper so far and bravo isn't exactly a automatic starter. But maybe city have released a fair bit through wages ??

Zabaleta joined West Ham today and I read Clichy, Sagna, Navas and Caballero all going too. Possibly Nolito and Yaya as well. Can't see Joe Hart's future ther either. So that's a fair bit to fill. Plus they need a CB.

I think Guardiola wants 2 of equal or close to equal ability for every position. If you compete in the League and Europe you need it. So I'm not sure he thinks in terms of rotation players.

The fee was a fair bit higher than is getting reported. Mendy is first choice for fullback, Walker is nowhere near.
