| Think you missed a few out there. Gerrard has been woeful too and didn't inspire as a Captain fullstop |

| he was the best player out their today. lampard barely walks never mind run around the pitch. he needs to be given the boot and all those i've mentioned above. make them earn their place in the team atleast for christs sake |

| gerrards argubly our most talented and influential player yet instead of building the team around him we shunt him out on the left on his weaker foot expecting him to have the same inpact than if he was in the middle of the park.
Capello bottled it (as previous managers have) and didnt dare make the call to drop the hugely ineffectual Lampard put gerrard in his natural position and put someone out on the left who can give us natural width.
i dont understand what happend to Rooney this tournement hes been nothing short of absolute gash, from his first touch to his decision making i find it so hard to believe its the same player ive been in ore of this year week to week in the premiership |

| England have reaped the rewards of United bringing him back too early in march. Never been fit since. |

| i mentioned this in a recent mailing to dan and honestly we really need start making these players be worried about their place in the national side.
we now find ourselves in the position germany were in at the end of france 98. they were made to look like has-been jokers when they were stuffed by croatia and the same has happened to us in south africa. it has to be a wake up call to make changes
lets give adam johnson a go with that left peg of his. jermaine defoe will be 32 at the next world cup so lets give gabby agbonlahor a shout, he has to be worth playing now as by brazil 2014 he'll be at his peak. there really arnt too many other forwards of his age who could be a good partner for rooney. lets give huddlestone a game or two now and see how frank likes the bench. lets give gary cahill a cap for fuck sake. lets do something atleast, but please please lets not send out this same sad, sorry bunch of losers for the first euro qualifier.....which kicks off in 90 days time |

| i think youll be seeing a bit more of said players, Dawson maybe?
its just depressing that a team with the supposed calibre of players that we have, have just limped out through the group stages and then found sadly wanting when faced with a decent standard of opposition. |

| it was cringeworthy for much of the game. every time ozil danced through the right channel i winced! cahill, dawson, shawcross, leighton baines, ashley young all could do with some game time.
whats our world cup squad likely to be in 4 years time? highlighted is my starting XI
joe hart scott loach ben foster
michael dawson ryan shawcross leighton baines glen johnson gary cahill chris smalling james tomkins / michael mancienne / micah richards kyle naughton
tom huddlestone james milner adam johnson jack rodwell fabian delph / fabrice muamba ? michael johnson / lee cattermole ? aaron lennon ashley young
wayne rooney gabriel agbonlahor carlton cole / darren bent wellbeck / sturridge / delfouneso / carroll ( whoever makes an impact )

| im not convinced on theo but he'd be a contender i guess, as for wilshere, he's only just 18 isnt he? might be slightly early for him, though the same could be said of rodwell i suppose. if michael johnson keeps getting injured then he certainly wont be staking a claim so perhaps wilshere will be there. whoever breaks into the arsenal or man city side consistently out of johnson or wilshere will probably get the nod. rodwell and huddlestone would be my starters. lee cattermole is just another michael carrick really aswell. |

| Glen Johnson needs to go away and only come back when he knows how to play his position with discipline and intelligence. If Victor Moses keeps improving since his move to Wigan then I think he has a chance and if Tom Cleverly can break into the Man U team the he's got to be looked at. Kieran Gibbs should be challenging Baines for the LB spot. |

| Just me that thought Lampard was are best player then? who looked like scoring(well he did....but we won't go there!!!) Rooney had an absolute shocking tournament and was clearly not fit but brought back to soon to try and save uniteds failing season I don't get the countries fascination with Gerrard cosistently over the last 5 seasons Lampard has scored more goals, completed more passes, covered more distance but stills get slated, Having sais that though it is time to start blooding the new talent and Rodwell is a must for me, Barry should be shot for giving the ball away to many times(not the only one i know) We need a midfield hardman to get stuck in and i feel this is what we miss most I'd still rather be English than a kraut or argie |

| gaz, at club level there is no doubt for me lampard is the better player over the last 5 years, mainly because chelsea's tactics means he has a water carrier behind him to shore things up in that 4-5-1 formation. for england lampard has barely had a good game and i'm sure you'll agree yourself has largely under achieved for most of his caps. the thing that strikes me with england is that you dont really see him breaking a stride too often, whereas im always seeing gerrard sprinting around the pitch. anyway that said, only james milner can be satisfied with his world cup showing and its certainly time to give the young players a chance. leave out both lampard and gerrard and lets play huddlestone and rodwell in the middle and see what happens. |

What he said! Well until the last sentence anyway. Sure some young players are going to have to step up to the plate but Gerrard is still the right side of 30 and could well go to the next world cup (assuming England qualify of course!) and Lamps has still got a few years in him yet. I can't quite understand the call for Rodwell to replace the likes of Lampard in the England team yet. Lamps has proved himself at club level in the Premiership and in Europe. Rodwell doesn't even make the Everton first team (yet). Maybe things do need to change but I'd prefer to see a slower evolution than many are suggesting and I want players to earn their place in the national team rather than for it to be given to them because they are very young and because some people think that they have talent. |

| in my opinion lampard has paul scholes syndrome,
Has has and will carry on to be been truly awsome for club on a weekly monthly and yearly basis but just doesnt repeat that same form when wearing the 3 lions.
be it the tactics used, players around him something hasnt worked for him to allow him to recapture his amazing club form. |
