so Barca maintain their lead despite the distractions this week of the Champions Cup final, a game that produced no less than nine goals, unfortunately for Man City six of them went to Barcelona as they ran out easy winners in the end

There was a time during the early life of the game where having four top attackers in your side would almost guarantee you won by out scoring the opposition, especially at home, but those days have long gone really. That sort of football just isn't played anymore. Now we are into the era of midfielders, nearly everybody in the world cup was a midfielder, from fullbacks to wingers, you seem to have to be able to play in midfield as well, and to think that Germany won the World Cup with just the one out and out attacker is very strange to me who remembers the days when five forwards was the norm. 

We lost another long term manager this week, from game one, that's the third one this season, with Arsenal, Fulham and now Chelsea all unmanaged. I may have found new managers for Arsenal and Chelsea, they are brothers currently trying out the game in game two, and if they decide to stay they will come over to game one for next season, shame Arsenal were relegated really, that may put one of them off, but we'll see.

Right on with the transfers now...

Paul, just a quick question. Why are they trying the game in game 2?. Isnt game 1 the place to have new people?. Why would someone pay for a side for a few games and then change?.

Chelsea and Arsenal were both free in game two.

Any word on the Europa Final Paul?

Great result for Flamengo this turn, helped a bit that santos had the cup final to play!

Looks like your close season will be busy!!  Not sure if going up would do you any favours though, as you'd be facing Mark, Rich and Arsenal's array of stars if you do!!

Nope .... not keen on a promotion but play off cash would be nice.

Good turn from both a Birmingham and Gremio perspective, good results for both teams and happy to have got Oscar Borg in at Brum and Jose Gimenez on trial for Gremio. Hard games for both sides next turn with Plymouth and Flamengo awaiting!

Paul, at the bottom of the SO reports with regards to loaning players to clubs it says:

'Loans will terminate at the end of the season the players turns 23.'

Is this the case or do they all end at the end of this season?

all loans end on week 22 except feeder club loans. message changed, thanks.
