To be fair I thought it was still the old way too ..... but at my age 2 years is relatively recent. Although given his Plymouth form I think Ben is ageing faster than I am.

I can remember playing the game in the late 90s (I think), and speaking on the phone (alot!) to a very young Ben - and getting SOOOOOOOO many 'brownie points' from my then girlfriend for being so cute because I was constantly modifying my language!

I'm sure it's not been that long since I was being told a first team player had no competition for place when the reserve was more than 2 PTCR lower! But then it could be the dementia setting in

hi paul, just wanted to thank everyone for another brilliant season, and especially congratulate phil on his league title win and tom on his cup triumph it has been immense fun building up this particular side over the last five seasons with some of my all time favorite players, like hart, richards, dzeko and aguero but the time has come to start to rebuild. this teams been successful with 2 league titles, one league runnersup, four cup wins in 25,26,27 and 28, a champions cup and two champions cup runnersups so i think it went very well and was certainly enjoyable and for those players the inside forward tactic worked pretty well, but big changes now including a return to the fast system with a big signing coming in next week and a few new faces considerably younger than the four mentioned earlier so im looking forward to the rebuild but dont expect me to be challenging the ikes of watford and charlton any time soon and maybe a change of european competition will be in order too. keep up the good work and thanks again mate. geoff@mancity.

Fourteen winners trophies in the Man City trophy cabinet thanks to Geoff but never a youth cup which i found surprising considering his vast array of decent youth players over the years.

Add ten winners trophies he also claims as manager of Cherry Orchard and three for Santos makes an incredible haul of silverware over the years.

Top manager Geoff.  Is he the most successful manager in the game or does that honour go to someone else?  Mark, Rob?

It worries me when Geoff does this as he may not be challenging next year but you can guarantee he will be sooner rather than later.  He is too good not to be.  The big signing next week is making me nervous already as to what he will rebuild.

Echo his thoughts too, thanks for another top season and all your efforts Paul.  Bit premature for some but its been another great season.

Thanks for the kind words Geoff and to the other managers who congratulated me! Appreciate the kind words, feels great to have finally won the Premier League! - My most successful season to date, wonder what my haul has been across Arsenal, Fulham and Watford.

Intrigued to what is on the Horizon at City! I'm sure a man of Geoff's calibre won't take long to get himself back in the running. 

This season has been great for me, successful at Watford and managed to develop some very strong squads at Genk and Botafogo - Beware Europe/Copa! 

Good look to all manager's for next weeks Final Game!
