Flamengo's excellent home form continues albeit by just a penalty in their win over the Champions, only one of the top eight have lost at home this season, dont remember ever seeing that before. Competition is certainly very stiff in this league it'll be interesting to see which side keep their cool and withstand the pressure more.

The Champions fall further behind after defeat at Bohemians who seem to be getting back to something approaching their best form of previous seasons where they were perennial Champions themselves. Derry City are the surprise package with their flying wingers doing the business.

Another astounding victory for the Champions extended their lead to seven points as their star studded attack tore unpredictable Plymouth to pieces. Spurs upturn in form continued with an unexpected victory at Stamford Bridge inspired by Tielemans and Charlton returned to winning ways in style at Anfield, still along way to go but with Watford's defence looking as good as their attack it'll take a lot to stop them, or so it seems at the moment.

France

Two goals for new boy Mbappe doesn't bode well for the chasing pack as the Champions maintain their lead but excellent wins for both Paris and Etienne keep their hopes alive, maybe.

Germany

Bayern stay out in front after a solid win in Cologne and a game of two halves saw Schalke claw their way back from being three goals down at halftime, always tricky when you change tactics just before such an important and tight game, but they just about got away with it. Could be closer this season but it's still early doors.

Disappointed with that result against that mob , maybe a bit over confident after recent results.

Holland/Belgium

Seven goals for the Champions and five for Ajax would seem to suggest the two games between these sides will decide who lifts the title this season. Week 10 and week 20 will be very interesting. Feyenoord arent a bad side but having lost away at both Genk and Ajax might just need to hang in there until later in the season and they could yet upset apple carts.

Sami Khedira and Thiago Alcantara inspired Lazio after they went behind to an early goal and the win keeps them top despite great wins for the three teams chasing them. Milan, Juve and Inter all hit top gear this week with Inter especially impressive in their demolition of a usually stubborn Parma side. The Ancona manager has decided to accept a job offer to rebuild his beloved Bochum, a job he couldn't turn down.

Scotland

A definite shift in power here in Scotland where Motherwell maintained their lead and second placed Rangers kept up their good form with a demolition of Raith and even Aberdeen, victors over Inverness, continue to improve and it looks like being a six horse title race this season.

Barcelona are flying after their eight goal demolition of Mallorca whilst Sevilla matched them goal for goal to move into fourth, their highest placing in many a long year. Good wins also for Madrid and Betis keep them in touch and keeps the pressure on the leaders.

It was a good week for the Champions as both Chicago and Harrisburg dropped points in tough away fixtures, Chicago drawing in Los Angeles and Harrisburg losing narrowly in New York. A good win for Kansas away in Washington puts them in the frame, but can they stay there.

Orders have just arrived from both Real Madrid and Newcastle.

Had to go out at half time, so was expecting a drubbing by the time I got back!
At least I know my half time changes appeared to work!
Didn't realise that changing back to old faithful (FAP) constituted 'disruption' when they all have 999...always happy to learn!
