Well as expected. Atletico and Twente great starts, Plymouth mixed (need to work on the defence) and Independiente had a shocker. Early season can always be hit and miss, so let’s see how things panned out.

The biggest deal saw Raphael Guerreiro join Benfica for £120millions from St Etienne.

Schalke bid to smash the transfer fee World Record by bidding £600millions for Erling Haaland who is currently doing well at Real Madrid.

Three teams are chasing Benfica's Nuno Mendes with bids in from Nantes, Real Madrid and Genk for amounts ranging from £30millions to £60millions. We caught up with the Benfica boss after their match today and asked him about the future of Mendes and he had this to say,

"The squad is pretty strong at fullback so we would be willing to allow Mendes to leave but only in a cash plus player exchange deal, he is very young and has huge potential, but we do need a truly World class striker, something we haven't been offered yet".
