Due to playing away in this fixture, the approach was very much no guys no glory. Don’t die wondering. Congrats to Ben and the others, good luck for the rest of the tournament.
Might not be the worse thing as stamina kicks in later in the season! Glass half full and all that!
Maybe need to review Bellingham and Saka so they can reproduce their performances on the biggest stage of all.

I know mate, my reply was tongue in cheek. Was going to mention Spanish players but thought that might come across inflammatory!

Are you kidding. Spain were absolute rubbish. Nothing inflammatory there. I have no idea what was going on with that team. No defenders probably a starting point though.
I'd also been raving about some of e the younger Croatians - Gvardiol in particular, but Messi dismantled them last night. Although a measurement against Messi possibly harsh ... unless you play for Saudi Arabia.
And then there's France Theo Hernandez who I think is a genuinely good LB, possibly one of the best was the worst player on the pitch versus England but still ended up on the winning side.
Weirdest World Cup ever. Time for my early morning dig at Phil now ..... Tammy Abraham and Harvey Barnes didn't even get a game ..........

The downside of a forum .......... you need to wait for people to log on to get a dispute going. Come on Phil.

Have a massive meeting this afternoon at work - 3.30 to 5.30 (the detail scares me so won't even go there). Have been up since before 4 and been working on this for 3 months. Too much coffee/nervous energy not sure which.
