as you'll have noticed i've started working on getting these on the site in what should be a more easily accessible fashion. so far only Gaz's Chelsea is complete, all the others i need to do. hopefully have these done tomorrow and then basically its up to you guys to edit your teams page and keep it updated
teams currently added to squad page:
Chelsea Birmingham City

Hi Stu,
Thanks for your effort on this. I'm wondering though if there's a slightly different format that could be used such as maybe a single spreadsheet for all clubs rather than one for each club. Here's why: I frequently use the current squad listings to search for a player I may be interested in. With the current squad page I just have to open the page and hit CTRL+F to be able to search for my player. I can't do that with the new squads page.
Thanks again,
Dan

well....i did start creating these as spreadsheets but they looked a bit naff. have to say i had overlooked the ctrl+f thing. what i wanted was for it to be easier to go straight to a team.. i think it will work though if i do them as spreadsheets within a spreadsheet so to speak. i'll give it a try

Cheers fella. Another solution may be to write a screenscraping macro but I've never done one before.

hmm...well it does work but if you were looking for say brian jensen and you were on arsenal it doesnt come up with brian. you'd have to cycle thru each team on the sheet. which could be a bit painstaking

it just occured to me how painstaking it can be to go thru each team on the forum when you want to view just a particular team.
dan - maybe the best thing going forward is that people edit their squads on the new tab but then copy and paste them so that the exisitng squad list remains intact on the forum for easier invididual player searching? saying that ctrl+F only searches each individual page of a topic anyway

Yep but 3 pages of doing that is better than 20 odd (or whatever number it is). I guess you could edit and then copy as you suggest but that increases the workload. Personally I'd prefer just to leave the squad page the way it is. Although I do appreciate the improvement you are trying to make.

Is everyone bothering with this?
I notice that only Arsenal & Brum have added details?
