Week 13

Just wondering about the deadline next week.

It should be set as the 2nd May. However, not only is this a bank holiday but the friday before is as well.

Based on this, are we expecting an extension?

Personally I hope not, however with bank holidays this friday and monday too, will people find it hard to fill in and return the turn in a short period of time.

Assuming the turns come on the thursday again, I'd be happy to get mine done and sent on the tuesday so it gets there in plenty of time.

Just thought I'd raise this now so maybe we can appeal to Paul to avoid an extension, if everyone is in agreement.

Of course, Paul might already have a holiday lined up...

Sod bank holidays. If they keep coming back on a thursday, it wont matter.

I am in agreement with this will just mean turns need to go Tuesday at the latest. With Easter should give us some time to get them done...

Does someone fancy giving the big man a call to let him know we are quite happy for a normal turnaround, to avoid any delay?

Im happy with an extension personally, im the opposite to bens comments, easter means busy time for me (not eating chocolate) so will probably not get a lot of time to fill it in and if we have to send it back by tuesday i have no hope and i will just send a blank turn back which will be a wasted turn really.

if the turns are back thursday then everyone has the best part of 8 days to read and send their turn. no big deal surely? i'd prefer no delay myself as i think there would be plenty of time to consume and fill out a sheet to send back a week thursday. i guess it depends how busy things are paul's end, though by my calculation the actual turn processing won't be effected by the upcoming bank holidays, just our ability to get them back to him. if enough people prefer an extension then i'm happy to go along with that of course but after all the previous hang-ups i'm quite keen for the current good turnaround to continue and for things to kick on.

ross....why would you have to send it tuesday? thursday is fine even with the wedding on friday., royal mail will have normal transit on the saturday, so i think sticking to the normal turnaround is fine tbh. its all in paul's hands though and after that majority rules...

ok so i forgot its may day the week after easter and all this wedding shite so it does effect the processing schedule at paul's end. so, as david frost once said.....paul its OOOOOOVER to you.

Was just putting my input in and answering a few questions from above. I have to admit since returning to the game things like this really dont bother me. The deadline will be the deadline that paul sets.

Im not someone that is currently putting a lot of time into the game hence i took on Juve. I was just trying to say that not everyone in the game spends everyday sitting there waiting for the envelope to come throught he door and quite honestly the decision is with paul.

granted that, i sometimes wish i didn't have so much time on my hands

i should think that if the deadline is falling on a bank holiday monday then its likely paul will shift it forward in any case. it doesn't really bother me too much either way tbh, just that after some previous lengthy delays (certainly not all paul's fault) my preference would be to keep things moving though i appreciate the likes of yourself has an extremely busy lifestyle both with home and work. anyway, it isn't about mine or any of our preference, like you say, the dealine will be what it will be, the game should always revolve around what suits paul best.
