just seen the liverpool goal today ...

then theres the fantom goal in the Reading Watford game last year where the ball not only didnt cross the line but was nowhere near the goal in the first place.

i also remember he was the clown who disallowed not one but two perfectly legitimate goals for derby against the red dogs.

strike him off the list now and save anyone else suffering his incompitence

absolute Joke of a referee come back Jeff winter all is forgiven...........well maybe not

im sorry, but what the fuck was Turner doing??!?!?!

Atwell tells him where to take the free kick from. Turner has a stationary ball, Atwell seems to tell him he's happy with where the kick should be taken from, then seems to tell him to play. Atwell turns back aroud, the ball has been passed backwards to the keeper from the free kick, and Torres is in.

Goal. Under what rule should he dissallow it?

Because he didnt mean to kick it?, because Turner decided he didnt want to take it?
Because what?

Rubbish Alan Shearer. Goal.

Atwell was looking for a reason to dissallow it, because Sunderland players were stationary with their arms out-stretched looking for the ref to help their CB get away with a howler. Atwell tried to recite where in the referees manual it says 'help players when they put their arms out', and couldnt find one.

Perfectly good goal in my book.

But then again, I'm from the school of thought that says shoulder barges arent a foul. And that shielding the ball out of play is obstruction...but im obviously in the minority.

i agree rich. but what about diouf's shoulder barge on schwarzer last week? surely that was a blatant obstruction? the boyota barge on drogba shouldve been a pen aswell.

yep, I thought Diouf on Schwarzer was a foul...the difference being that the players werent facing the same way. And Diouf didnt make contact with Schwarzers shoulder...he just ran into him deliberately.

Good old shoulder barges....two players running towards the same ball, and bumping shoulders on the way. I've sent many a player flying becuase they werent strong enough to go shoulder to shoulder with me...

and I get pulled up for a foul. Why?, because the other guy is alot smaller than me? because

Im slow as fuck and so to take the phyiscal stuff out the game is really annoying. But Dioufs challenge wasnt a shoulder barge.

seen atwell at the emirates recently when we played bolton, he was awful, he needs to go learn about football in the lower leagues for a few seasons, then maybe he could be the great ref the fa seems to think he is...

I wish that goal had never happened.

Darren Bent still seems to be scoring week in, week out, which is nice to see.
