everyone keeps banging on the last two weeks in the wake of gary neville's retirement of him being the best right back of his generation. erm....hello.....javier zanetti?! surely the best ever, never mind this generation and the ones before it. 140 caps nearly, barely missed a single league game throughout his career at inter....i'd say he is up there with the arsenal invinicbles. so, msrs neville, move aside, please, you are not that worthy.

Cafu or Lilian Thuram? They all played at the same time and pissed on Gary Neville. As did (and still does) Zanetti.

zanetti is the best i think for his consistency and lengthy career. saying that, thuram did redefine the full back position with his pace, power and ability to get forward so much. you couldnt really call him a wing back because he was a better defender than that. great player. cafu would be up there. i guess gary neville would maybe make the top 5....just.
