Week 24 Playoff Final

Welcome to the last week of the season.

I am resetting everything atm before opening the orders.

It'll be a long week again this turn, lots to do. No newsletter last week, not enough time, probably be the same this week as well so I can still get turns to you by the weekend.

Think we all appreciate there is a lot to do at the end of season.

Personally, not much going on this week although those at Vicarage Road might start getting a little restless......

Its taken awhile to get through all the news and reviews but im ready to run the playoff final now...

Watford vs Tottenham

for a place in the Premiership and I reckon Jamie's side can take Tottenham but I did make Harry the second best reality manager so it will be tough.

ooh, I'm glued to the action. Currently working from the world's best bar (Southbank Bar, Nottingham), as I'm locked out my office for the afternoon after forgetting my keys. I refuse to drive all the way home as Notts are at home to Stevanage tonight... and I'd only have to come back again. So I figured i'd flick the laptop on and sit in the corner with a diet coke and a spreadsheet or two... and now I have Watford v Spurs to keep me entertained... whilst all the time thinking... "I'd have beaten Spurs"...

ahh well.

the other two playoff finals are also being played of course

Ian Cheeseman is reporting from Wembley on the Championship Playoff game and after 10 minutes there is no score, but lets cross to ian for an update...

Tottenham won the kickoff and have had the better of the first 10 minutes, a great dribble from Aaron Lennon almost resulted in a goal after just 2 minutes, but Isaksson made a great save...

Phil Jones has gone off injured and Chris Smalling is on in his place...

Isaksson saves from Defoe after Tottenham's player of the season cut inside and shot...

Vincent Kompany stands his ground as Peter Crouch crashes right into him, with Crouch going off with concussion as a result, Aghahowa is on for Tottenham after 10 minutes...

and this aint going to be pretty...

11 minutes gone and a good attack by Watford ends with Adebayor robbed by Dawson after a penalty box tussle...

Lennon beats McGeady and fires goalwards but Isaksson is too quick and makes another fine save, the keeper is in good form today, looks like he may have to be too...

Tottenham having a lot of possession atm without really being able to penetrate Warford's back four...

Luka Modric is playing very well, and feeds Defoe on the edge of the box, Agger is at him...

Looks like nothing has been left in the changing rooms....this is gonna be a battle.

but defoe swivels past Agger and slams a shot past Isaksson into the far corner for a Goal to Tottenham and after 31 minutes its now

Watford 0 Tottenham 1

that was Defoe at his best there...

a bit of a blow for Watford that, theyve defended well but havent created too much...

but Wtaford fight back as Adebayor and Dembele combine well on the edge of the box only for Woodgate to intercept...

and another chance for Tottenham falls to Defoe only its in the air and Isaksson prevails easily...

Modric beats Diaby and finds Duff who beats Smalling and lofts his cross towards Defoe who is beaten by Kompany...as we appraoch half time with Tottenham leading 1-0
