Ah, I didn't realise I was 3 points ahead from last week. Still a tough ask against a Charlton side who seem to be flying at the moment... |

| Hi Paul,
All received thanks!
I do have a question on substitutions though. Ozil was injured and my Assistant Manager decided to bring on Elford to play as TM, who was awful. Is there a way of me moving another player to play TM if my TM gets injured as had 3/4 potential TM on the pitch who could have filled in? How does the system decide who to bring on as Podolski is similar positions and would have been a better option?
Thanks
Ben |

| Wow, what a week! What a turnaround at Maine Road. The players certainly owed the fans a performance from last weeks capitulation, and what a way to do it!!
To be 2-0 and a man down at one of the hardest places to go in the game and come back to win is a phenomenal effort. Losing captain Stevie to injury too.
Surprise defeats for both Ben and Jamie give the Addicks a second bite at the title cherry when it looked after last week that those hopes had gone.
Another league win for Nantes and another European final to look forward too. |

Ben My understanding is that when a player goes off injured, the ass manager goes through the players on the bench, starting with the first, and scours to find a suitable alternative for that position. If none are available then the next closest alternative will be brought on. Players already playing stay in their designated positions. I think. |

| So the order of the subs is important then or is their other criteria? Because I hope my AM would have seen that Podolski is a far better option than Elford! If he he is fired! |

| I remember Paul saying the order of your subs is important. Top one being the first the AM looks at, then works down the list. He will just go with the first one he gets to.
I could be wrong though |

Ben Backing up things atm when that's finished I'll have a look to see how the decision was made. But in general use the 90 condition ( if player sentoff ) good for TM CBs etc |

| Right, what happened is the AM checked for a TM first, didn't find one, so he takes the first likely candidate he finds, in your case it was Elford as he was shirt number 12 and Podolski was shirt number 18. So yes, sub position is important when you don't specify a 90 condition.

| Thanks for clarifying.
So the 90 condition can be used also if a player goes off injured? |

| interesting week.
League looks like it could go right down to the last game. Goals still flowing but Higuain got injured so a bit of a re-jig up front next turn. The European game was tight but Barca were deserved winners. On a brighter note Roberto Firmino joins to add more midfield competition.
Boca dominated in their league game but couldn't get the goals so possibly a change up there too. 5 Libertadores finals on the bounce ... consistently up there. Hope we can perform against what appears to be a rampant Santos team. And good to see the Boca academy team starting to turn out some decent performances. |

So the 90 condition can be used also if a player goes off injured? No 90 condition is only for sending offs, for injuries you need to have a TM on the subs bench if you want a direct replacement. the choice is made like this 1) checks for another TM ( takes the first it finds ) 2) checks for next best thing ( TM would be the first CF ST or PM it found ) 3) checks for DY ( takes first it finds ) 4) picks the first player available if there is one. |

| Overall a great turn, but still disappointed to lose out on Firmino and Fernando, after tracking both of them for the last few turns. But you snooze and you lose, especially with top scouting networks around like Jamie and Robs. I always seem to be one step behind the pair of them when going for the same players.... |
