| Man City v Blackburn
The blue half of Manchester welcome a Roque Santa Cruz reliant Blackburn. If anyone ever described my team as Roque Santa Cruz reliant I'd be scared and so it is for the travelling Blackburn fans. Geoff's City are in fine form and the trident of Dzeko, Carroll and Robinho is providing height, skill and finishing power and look like an ominous prospect for a team that dropped 2 points against lowly Liverpool last time out.
Man Utd v Chelsea
The other half of Manchester sees the clash of a pair of CF's smaller egos in LVG and The Special One at Old Trafford. Neither team is setting the world alight and both sit in the lower half of the table. Chelsea have a lot of talent available but the faithful at the Bridge are asking questions about his use of a 253 formation and the FAS tactic. Only 5 goals and 7 points so far this season must be a worry. United sit in 7th and have a 3 point advantage over the visitors which is based on their strong home form. A 6 pointer as a home win could see LVG's men move onto 13 points and based on the other fixtures that could leave them 6 points above the relegation zone which is a huge gap at this stage.
Birmingham v Liverpool
Brum host bottom club Liverpool who are on a bit of a high after securing their first point of the season last time out against Blackburn. They face a different prospect this time out as RVP and Fellaini will have too much skill and power for the League's second worst defence. So 1 point out of 27 will soon become 1 from 30 and their goal difference will continue to spiral out of control .... so bad Glenn Hoddle could be in charge. With the top teams all playing in games they should win Birmingham need to make this one count against the Premier League's weakest team.
Plymouth v Everton
I have a soft spot for the Toffees but it seems the Toffees have a soft spot for everyone in the middle of their defence. 21 goals conceded in 9 games is relegation form and visiting a Plymouth team with a 100% home record isn't going to help. I'd like to give some grain of good news to the travelling Everton fans but the only thing I can say is that there's no road works on the M6 so your journey home should be quick enough. The only danger for Ben could be taking the game too lightly as he plans for tougher challenges and fighting it out for the top spot.
Spurs v Charlton
Spurs are proving a tricky proposition at the Lane only losing once this season. That home form currently sees them in 6th only 2 places and 5 points behind visitors Charlton. Tom's Addicks have an array of talent but need to click up front as they average just over a goal a game this season. Not enough if they want to challenge at the top of the table. Two very solid teams but the greater flair and cutting edge provided by Sterling, Sturridge and Coutinho will outgun the ageing Clint Dempsey and erratic Aaron Lennon.
Fulham v Watford
What a welcome for Phil. The undefeated, table topping Hornets come to The Cottage in what could be a painful re-introduction. Last week neither top scorer Negredo nor strike partner Diego Costa managed to register for Watford but a Rooney double, boy wonder Pogba and Kompany secured a 4-0 win at Goodison as the goals continue to flow. Not only do Jamie's lads score a lot but they only concede 1 every 3 games so this could be a case of getting the bus parked early for Phil and damage control for the home team.

| Wednesday v Villa
Bottom host top in an interesting League 1 clash. Wednesday have made some impressive signings with Michel Vorm, Luis Valencia and Michu added to the ranks so this one is not as straight forward as it seems. On a brighter note Villa scored last week and the arrivals of Schurrle and Benteke on loan seem to have worked well with the return to fitness of attacking hub Cabaye. Was it a random one off or are Villa getting the hang of what their manager wants from them? Who knows? Only time will tell. |

| Some interesting rumors this week as Charlton are rumored to be on the verge of signing Chelsea's David Luis and Fulham are said to be ready to splash a lot of cash on signing Tottenham's Luka Modric. |

| Southampton's Mikel Arteta has scored twice and been sent off all within the first 22 minutes of that game, playing high aggression has both rewards and consequences. |
