Villa had a busy week signing Romelu Lukaku in exchange for Oxlade-Chamberlain, Moussa Dembele, and Granit Xhaka. They also bought in Fabregas for £15millions although a deal to take Bailly to Villa was stopped because the Inter chairman wouldn't let him go on a free transfer. 

Nastasic was due to join Preston but again the deal was stopped by the chairman of Real Madrid because he wouldn't sell him for nothing.

Thiago Alcantara joins Lazio for £20millions.
