Wow ,suprised at the Chelsea result as it was pretty much a reserve side , Not a bad effort from Bate at Betis and nice for Braga to win...and score a goal.

Watford


Watford are without Tammy Abrahams again this week, he returns to the bench in hope of gaining some playing time should the game go the favour of the hornets. However, Nketiah is looking forward to leading the line again. This week’s opponents are Newcastle who look to be under new management, The Newcastle side is full of world class players such as Gareth Bale, Xhaka and Lloris. The yellow’s will be looking to build on the momentum they have after there recent change to tactic which seems to be working out well. However, can’t make a conclusion on only a couple of games. A win is needed to keep in the race for anything this season.

Genk

A lot of Genks rising stars have been on the move In Real Life, however the Genk manager has no intentions to break up the side who have made a solid start to the season. The side have gelled well and are looking to break records this season. Main players Camavinga and Hlozek are 100% strike rate this season having scored 5-5 each so looking forward to adding to there tallies this week. However, the league this season isn’t taken for granted after playing catch up most part of last season. But the side seem more setup for success with rotation options plenty through out the side. One new signing this week, larger then usual outlay from the Belgium side, but solves a position for the next decade.


Leverkusen

Well, the football gods had other thoughts last week after battering Cologne, but the old smash and grab tactic seemed to work. This week, the players have been reminded of keeping a strong mentality going into the final 10minutes of a game, and a couple of additional RE periods to help manage stamina. Mercurial captain Sergei Milinkovic-Savic has been in sublime form as of late and the German side will certainly require him to continue to upset the hierarchy in Germany and avoid any further stock market crashes!


Botafogo

The first of many challenges of the season, Fluminense… who play their variant of FRE. A slight tweak to the side, Hulk comes in to replace Cabral up top and Fernandinho comes in to replace the injured Casemiro. Weverton signs so the hunt for a new Goalkeeper is over finally, this week’s game comes too soon to make his debut, but will no doubt be putting overtime in at the training ground to get up to speed ASAP to replace the aging Bravo. Neymar again is dazzling defenders in Brazil 6-6 and is well on his way to smashing 700 career goals in hemsoft? (Hemverse?) Could the next great Brazilian striker already be in the Botafogo academy? Endrick played last weeks Cup game for the Brazilian side and scored… Youngest scorer in hemverse ever? … One for the games master…

Solid set of results, given heavy rotations for most the sides to keep things fresh for the league!  

Good to see three of the teams performing. Independiente losing is a blow given they beat Boca in the league away last week - oh well, lots of games to play in the group. Roll on 10am tomorrow!

Nantes - Away to PS, then away to Etienne (one of the big three in France)

Fluminense - Away to Corinthians then away to Botafogo.

Don't think I've ever such a tough week, especially with all six games away from home.  

Delighted with the midweek results, hopefully we can equal them in the league games!!
